Directions:

1. The student must complete his or her own "Project Checklist".

2. The "Project Checklist" must be approved by a supervising teacher before the student may begin to work on his or her project.

3. The student must complete a weekly log of his or her progress on the "Project Checklist" weekly planner.

4. After approval is given by a supervising teacher, the student may work at his or her own pace.

5. The purpose of this program is to provide the student with the opportunity to develop his or her independent learning skills. Students are expected to make their own decisions regarding the implementation of this project. This means the student will need to determine when and who to ask for guidance. However, the student cannot depend on other individuals to determine how his or her project will be completed. This the student’s responsibility.

Before the student may begin the actual work on his or her project, the student must review the "Project Checklist" with his or her parent(s) and ask for parental approval.
