1-48 A Hundred Table

The hundred table has numbers 1-100 in it. 

Each row has 10 numbers in it.

 

Look for patterns.  Find all the numbers with 0 in them.

Find all the numbers with 5.

 

Some numbers are one-digit numbers.

They are 1, 2 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. 

 

Some numbers are two-digit numbers.

They are 10, 11, 12, all the way to 99.

 

Look at the number 23.  The digit 2 is in the tens place.

There are 2 tens in 23.

 

Look at the number 35.  The digit 3 is in the tens place.

There are 3 tens in 35.

 

Look at the number 56.  The digit 5 is in the tens place.

There are 5 tens in 56.

 

100 is a three-digit number.

Find the number 96.  What digit is in the tens place?

Find the number 99.  What digit is in the tens place? 

How many tens are in the number 99?

 

Find the number 32.  What digit is in the tens place?
