Look at the shapes above.  Notice they are not flat.  They are solid.  In geometry they are called solid shapes.

Look at the cube.  Each side is a square.

Look at the cone.  The bottom is a circle.

If you cut the sphere in half, like an orange, you would see a circle.

 

Practice naming solid figures.  Fill in the boxes with the correct answers.
