When two sides of a polygon meet they form an angle.  Look at the figure below.  The segments AB and BC form the angle ABC.

A right angle is an angle that forms a square corner.  A right angle must be a 90 degree angle.  The triangle below has a right angle.  Every square and rectangle has four right (90 degree) angles.
