1.  Would you like to live in the tiny town of Chewandswallow?  Why?
Possible Answer:  I would like to live in this town.  I love candy.  It would be great to have it rain candy every single day.

 

2.  If you could order a meal in the town of Chewandswallow, what would you order for tomorrow's forecast?
Possible Answer:  If I could order a meal it would be cheese pizza, Mountain Dew and chocolate cake and ice cream.  I would order this every day.

 

3.  School was closed because a huge pancake covered it.  Give another reason school might be closed in the town of Chewandswallow?
Possible Answer:  The school was closed one day because a hurricane came.  The hurricane was a tomato soup hurricane.  The winds blew the windows and doors out of the school.  The school was filled with tomato soup.

 

4.  Create another town name instead of Chewandswallow and explain your reason for the name?
Possible Answer:  I would name another town Eatsandtreats.  I would name it this because there would always be things to eat and treats to enjoy in this town.

 

5.  Do you like the ending of this book?
Possible Answer:  I did enjoy the ending of this book.  I liked it when the kids thought they saw a pat of butter on a mountain of mashed potatoes.
