Friends

  Once there was a small black bird. She lived in a big forest.  She was a friend to all of the animals who lived there.  One day she met a brown mouse.  The brown mouse was very sad.

  The bird said, "Why are you sad, brown mouse?"  "I have lost my best friend," said brown mouse.  "I will help you find your friend," said bird.

  Small, black bird and brown mouse looked for days and days.  They looked in the trees.  They looked in the grass.  They could not find brown mouse's friend. 

  "I will be your new best friend," said bird.  Brown mouse was very happy to have found a new friend.
