3-16 Spelling Tip

Verb endings -ed and -ing.
Before you add -ed or -ing to words that end with consonant-vowel-consonant, you must double the final consonant as in the words skipped and skipping and begged and begging.
Before you add -ing to words that end in a consonant and an -e, you drop the -e as in the words serving and slicing.
