6-22 Spelling Tip

Homophones
Words that sound the same but are spelled differently and have different meanings are called homophones.
Won, one, oar, ore, or,  and fare and fair are examples of homophones.

 

Words Definitions
1. threw past of throw
2. through from one end or side to the other
3. bough a branch of a tree
4. bow to bend into a curve
5. serial a work appearing in parts at regular intervals
6. cereal a prepared food of grain
7. your used before a title of honor in address
8. you're you are
9. scene a stage setting
10. seen past participle of see
