North America is one of the seven continents in the world.  It is a large continent.  The three largest countries that make up North America are the United States, Canada, and Mexico.  Canada is north of the United States and Mexico is south of the United States.  The ocean that lies west of North America is the Pacific Ocean.  The ocean east of North America is the Atlantic Ocean.  The ocean north of North America is called the Arctic Ocean.  North America has tall mountains, flat plains, and hot deserts.  Many people live in North America.
