1. Paul Revere's famous "Midnight Ride" occurred through the night of April , 1775 and into the morning of April , 1775.

2. Paul Revere made plans with a friend, Robert , in Boston to keep an eye on the British soldiers.  If and when the British started to move, he was to send a signal from high in the steeple of the tower.

3. " if by land, if by sea."  Paul told his friend to light lantern if the British troops were marching by land and lanterns if the British troops were coming across the bay by water.

4. Paul Revere did not shout out the famous phrase "The British are coming!" rather he shouted "The are coming out!"

5. Paul Revere and William Dawes rode from Boston to Lexington to warn John and Samuel that the British Army was on the move.  The British were beginning to march from Boston to to arrest Hancock and Adams and seize the weapons stored at .

6. Paul Revere never completed his ride to Concord because he was stopped by soldiers.  He was later released  and he helped John Hancock and his family escape from Lexington as the battle of Lexington ensued.
